Department of Family Services
Provides specialized human services to children, adults, and elderly who are experiencing abuse, neglect, or crisis.
Department for Self Reliance
Administers the Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program to eligible one-parent families, two-parent families, or caregivers caring for minor children.
Navajo Treatment Center for Children and Their Families Program
Provides Outpatient Counseling and other mental health services to children, ages 4 to 17 years of age. Outpatient Counseling and aftercare services offered to couples, groups, and families by referral only.
Navajo Financial Assistance Unit
Provides the following financial assistance to eligible individuals and households: Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), General Assistance (GA), Burial Assistance (BA), Community Services Block Grant (CSGB), and Navajo School Clothing and Supplies (NSCS).
Department for Child Care and Development
Provides childcare services for income eligible parents who are employed, in job training, or enrolled in higher education. Services also available for children with special needs and/or in protective services.
Navajo Indian Child Welfare Act Program
Provides services to preserve and reunite Navajo children with their parents, next of kin, other appropriate Navajo families, or a
Native American family; and provide ongoing, quality case management services to Navajo children who are domiciled off the Navajo Nation and are subject to out of home care.
Developmental Disability Program
In collaboration with the Arizona Department for Economic Security, DD coordinates services and resources for eligible AZ residents, within the Navajo Nation, who are diagnosed with one of the following developmental disabilities: Autism; Cerebral palsy; Cognitive/Intellectual Disability; Epilepsy; or are under the age of six and at risk of having a developmental disability.
Office of the Executive Director
Under the direction of the Executive Director and the Deputy Division Director, the Office of the Executive Director’s team provides technical assistance and support services to departments and programs.
